Had the chocolate and pistachio eclairs & they were delicious Will try this place again

The pastries are sublime!!! I've fiended for this spot for awhile. It's authentically French/ Algerian. I had a chocolate pastry with three different kinds of chocolate wow! If you missing France or Algeria or their baked delights this is for you. Pastry plus Moroccan mint tea was $7.83 so quite a bargain. The roof of the exterior was a bit unkept but they deliver on the goods. PS I see a newly opened Emmons Ave branch and I'm so hitting that up.

All the desserts in the box except the cupcakes were from them. Their desserts are amazing for a Bensonhurst dessert shop. The desserts weren't too sweet and the purple desserts had tartness. The napoleon pastry was my favorite. Definitely recommend the napoleon pastry!!! Staff is really welcoming and helpful. Atmosphere is quiet.

What a gem of a find. I was in search of "dessert worth the calories" in Sheepshead Bay and L'Algeroise French Patisserie was just the answer. Their prices are reasonable and they offer indoor and outdoor seating. I had a slice of the Napoleon "Mille feuille" cake and it harkened back to the delicious patisseries of Paris. My café au lait had high quality espresso and was also reminiscent of my time in France. They also offer breakfast foods, croissants, crepes and more. This family owned business provides French quality fare, excellent service and reasonable prices in a charming atmosphere. I look forward to coming back for breakfast and a croissant.

Craving for a croissant and even though the shop is unassuming, that craving was satisfied. Buttery, flaky and fresh with beautiful layers, what more could you ask for? And only $2.35?!

I know, I know - this is in deep Brooklyn. Bath Beach to be exact. But if you don't mind traveling for delightful Algerian-French pastries there's plenty to gawk over. They've truly got something for everyone. I visited with a friend who was more on the adventurous side - tarts, mousse cakes, tiramisu, eclair. Me: croissant, pan au chocolat, biscotti, coconut cookies. Everything was divine - not too sweet. Delicate layers of flavors that embodied the things you would expect in French pastries with a subtle layer of Algerian pizzaz. Notes of pistachio, cardamom, coconut stayed with me long after eating our glutinous haul.

I had really been craving pastries and lucky for me, my husband found L'Ageroise on Yelp. Even luckier, it's right near my parents' place, so it's not far to get to either. I was specifically looking for a French napoleon and that's what he found! This one is made with custard, but I thoroughly enjoy it. It is made fresh each day and I love eating it both on the first day I get it when it's crispy and flaky and then on the second day when the crust gets a little softer. Different textures, but so good! The icing on the top is a little sweet, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying these treats 3 at a time lol My husband and I have now gone there a bunch of times. The cheesecake was ok for my husband, flavor was interesting and not like the American cheesecake he was expecting. We also tried a few other items he got, but the napoleon is still my favorite. I used to work at an Italian bakery and loved their french napoleons - they have been closed for years now :( I'm glad my husband found this place so now I have a great replacement! Joseph and the staff are wonderful and so sweet! It's a tricky location with the bus stop and local clientele, but I am hoping they stick around for a long time! Looking forward to my next fix really soon! :)

I was pleasantly surprised when this little French pastry shop opened on this sleepy block, at a location most recently occupied by a short lived and poorly received sushi shop. Businesses seem to never have luck at this address, but the steady stream of customers seen coming in and out of this shop and their tasty pastries have me feeling like L'Algeroise may end the curse. Whether it's a pain au chocolat, a fruit tart, or tiramisu you're craving, the skilled folks at this bakery will have you covered. Omar, who is the owner, kindly recommended the napoleon to me, since it was his most popular pastry. The cream tasted really fresh and wasn't overwhelmingly sweet, and I loved every bite of it sandwiched between the crisp wafers of the pastry. I also enjoyed a strawberry and chocolate macaron, which usually isn't my pastry of choice but I found them to be expertly made. This is a true mom and pop business and I can't wait to return for one of their beautiful eclairs or small tarts.
